Cops Taser old fat A's fan, caught on video

I have no idea what this guy was saying that made four Oakland Police Officers fire a Taser at him (and fire it poorly, if I do say so) but it must have been offensive because he wasn’t even moving or standing. In the latest Taser video footage to hit YouTube, fans can be heard saying “Why’d you Tase him?” and “Take it easy on him.” Not quite as catchy as “Don’t Tase me bro” but a good question nonetheless. What happened to the good ol’ days when they would just cuff you and drag you out?

Isn’t a Taser to stop an aggressive dangerous situation? Or is it just to aggravate the situation? I’m sure this guy was hammered and probably saying rude and disgusting things, but he was firmly in his seat, overweight and pretty much immobile. He did slap the big cop finger out of his face, but that’s reasonable, they are supposed to protect your rights not instigate conflict with disrespectful hand motions. Aside from a splash of beer, the cops were in no danger. After he collapsed to the ground and rolled several feet down the concrete steps they still have to cuff him and drag him out, so what’s the deal with the Taser happy OPD? OPD is already complaining about media calls for the video, well, how about only Tasing violent people, and not in the family section of the A’s games on immobile grandpa types? I like the A’s fans though, still following the foul balls despite the total violation of human rights going on in section 128. LET’s GO OAKLAND!
