The Minnesota Vikings are preparing for any big impact that Randy Moss might have at the Metrodome this Sunday. Moss has had a good season with the 49ers registering 5 catches for 61 yards with a touchdown.
Moss caught a 14-yard touchdown in the Niners 30-22 victory over the Greenbay Packers at Lambeau Field. Packers fans vividly remember the mooning celebration by Moss but the big receiver kept things subdued this time by simply pointing to the name on his jersey during his touchdown celebration. Moss played his part in the Sunday Night Football victory over the Detroit Lions as well.
Randy Moss anticipates a mixed reaction at the Metrodome and hopes to silence any boos from the crowd. Moss is a role player that has been added to the 49ers strong receiving corps that includes Michael Crabtree and Tight End Vernon Davis. Mario Manningham was also recently added. Moss has played the part of a mentor really well and has been putting up his 100 percent effort during practice and in the game running routes. This is definitely a motivated Randy Moss that we are seeing.
Moss reminisced about the great memories and games he had at the Metrodome and was thankful to the Vikings and especially former Vikings coach Dennis Green for giving him the opportunity. Niners coach Jim Harbaugh has been very impressed with Randy Moss and has only positive things to say about the wide-out ever since he traded for him. It looks like Moss is here to stay in the Bay Area.
With big wins over the Lions and the Packers, the San Francisco 49ers have shown the NFC that they are indeed heavy favorites.
